These 2 out of form Man Utd players should be nowhere near the starting 11 against Liverpool

If Solskjaer wants to change at Man United, he’s going to have to start dropping a few under-performers. Some injury concerns at Old Trafford have made it difficult for the boss. However, here are two players that shouldn’t be in the starting line up.

People are calling this Man United team the worst they’ve seen in years. While the recent form certainly backs up that statement, not all players are that bad.

There’s a select few who have stood out like Daniel James. A move to Old Trafford has done him wonders. Harry Maguire is another player who is good, he just hasn’t got the right partner in defence.

It’s safe to say that January can’t come quick enough for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, here are two players who he should drop due to poor performances…

Ashley Young

To be fair to Solskjaer, he’s not had much of an option due to players being out. Injuries to other defenders like Aaron Wan-Bissaka have meant he’s had to play Young.

However, fans are getting frustrated with his performances. He even got subbed against Newcastle late on.

He’s playing as the Man United Captain but he’s not a leader in my opinion. A re-shuffle of the Captain’s arm-band might take some pressure off him.

Fred

I think it’s time that Solskjaer was a little harsher on Fred.

Dropping someone from your squad can always make them more determined and motivated to get back in it. That’s what needs to happen with the midfielder.

Fans have called him out as being one of the worst players in the squad. Especially against Newcastle. They’ve also said he’s worse than they imagined him to be. Solskjaer needs to listen and sort it out now.
