2 Reasons why bringing Smalling back from Roma is essential for Man United

According to The Daily Star, Man United have rejected a £13 million bid for Chris Smalling. Here are two reasons why he is needed back at Old Trafford.

The defender is currently out on loan at Roma until the end of the season. However, the Italian giants have been impressed by his performances.

So much so that they put an offer in for the player. However, Ed Woodward rejected this as he is holding out for at least £17 million.

Smalling is said to be flattered by the apparent interest from Inter Milan and AC Milan. However, he has settled into the Italy lifestyle. He supposedly wants to stay with Roma.

Man United should definitely try to keep Smalling. Their form of recent hasn’t been great and Man United don’t have the appeal to players like they used to.

So why not bring back their own players and take advantage of it.

The defender has now got a lot of experience from playing out in Roma.

He would be bringing that back to the Premier League. However, they would need to make sure he is happy to return.

Man United set to miss their main man for another 4 weeks

According to ESPN, Man United will be without Paul Pogba for a little longer than planned. Even when he is recovered, they will want to be cautious with him.

The French international broke a bone in his right ankle at the end of September. He has been wearing a plaster cast ever since.

The cast will be removed in 10 days. However, the midfielder will need another 2 weeks of rehab after that.

It will only be then when Pogba will be able to train again. Man United are hoping he will be back before the end of December.

Apparently, Paul Pogba is desperately wanting to make his return. He has even been in Dubai for treatment.

Man United are clearly struggling without him. However, they will have to be careful and not rush him back into action too soon.

A goal scorer is needed but a fit and healthy player is more important.

Man Utd are looking to bring back Burnley 35m rated 19 y/o winger

According to The Sun, Man Utd are keeping tabs on £35 million Burnley winger, Dwight McNeil. This is the same player that they dumped 5 years ago.

The 19-year-old has been a stand out performer for Burnley so far this season. It looks like Man Utd are now regretting getting rid of the midfielder.

McNeil was released from the academy team at aged just 14. This was because he didn’t meet the standards. He was also poor at set-pieces.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent scouts out in recent weeks to keep an eye on England Under 21 international.

Man Utd must meet Burnley valuation

It is understood that Burnley wants around £35 million for their man. Even if Man Utd reach those requirements, they could still be rejected.

It is looking like Burnley want to keep hold of the midfielder.

Dwight McNeil

The 19-year-old is a huge red devils fan despite being dumped from Old Trafford.

Scouts from Old Trafford apparently went to watch him when Burnley played Chelsea a few weeks ago. They got to see him score in a 4-2 loss.

The Portuguese player has featured in quite a few games already for the Scottish side. However, he has a lot to learn.

With David De Gea to live up to, he needs to get as much game time as possible. If he returns to Old Trafford, improvements will be expected.

Current form

According to Transfermarkt, Pereira has played 7 games and conceded 7 goals so far.

However, he has kept 2 clean sheets. At least he is making the most out of the games he’s getting. He will only learn, grow and develop.

Currently, Hearts are 11th in the Scottish Premiership.

They recently played St Johnstone and only lost 1-0. Pereira played the full game. However, he also played against Rangers in the Scottish League Cup last weekend and they lost 3-0.

Open to return

He gets asked about his time at Man United all the time. In the past, he has said that he would be open to a return to Old Trafford.

If a deal could be made, it would also please fans. They would also value him more because he actually wants to play for the club.

The current Man United team is made up of a lot of youngsters. They could benefit from the experience Zlatan has.

He’s had spells at Ajax, Juventus, Barcelona, PSG and LA Galaxy. However’ Solskjaer has said that he would be more interested if the striker was 28, not 38.

Man Utd set to do battle with Liverpool & Arsenal over 22y/o midfielder

Borussia M.Gladbach defensive midfielder has caught the eye of many of the top clubs from around Europe and the Premier League. However Man United see to be keen on getting a deal wrapped up ahead of the competition as soon as possible.

At 22-years-old, Zakaria as 13 games under his belt this season in all competitions, scoring twice. The Swiss international has a pass success rate of 84.4% and an average game rating of 7.15. He’s not afraid to take a pop from range and is prone to dribble himself out of trouble.

Man United desperately needs to recruit in the midfield area. A defensive midfielder like Zakaria would be the perfect partner for Pogba, should he remain at Old Trafford, to express his skills further up the field.

According to the inside futbol, M.Gladbach are prepared to accept 50m for the player. Which is double what Transfermarkt value him at (25.20m). Either way, it’s a snip in today’s market should he live up to the hype. However, he could end up being a Fred.

With the likes of Bayern Munich, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid all being linked to the midfielder. Man United needs to act swiftly if they are to stand a chance.

2 Man United youngsters that should impress tonight against Doncaster Rovers

Man United Under-21’s will face Doncaster Rovers tonight in the EFL trophy. The Football Manc Cave are picking out two youngsters who will be looking to impress.

Man United’s first team face Chelsea tomorrow night. The form at Old Trafford recently hasn’t been great.

The January transfer window can’t come soon enough for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, until that time comes he has been relying on youth squad members to develop into the first team.

Players like Brandon Williams, who is only 19 years old, have made it into the first team recently. It also looks like youngster, James Garner will be making it into that first team soon as well.

With the game against Doncaster tonight there will be a few youngsters looking to impress. They will want to move in the same directions as the other teenagers who have made it into the first team.

Tahith Chong

The Dutch 19 year old is close to breaking into the first team squad at Old Trafford.

However, the right winger hasn’t yet made it that far. If he makes it into the squad to face Doncaster tonight, he will want to show Ole Gunnar Solskjaer what he’s missing.

Angel Gomes

Man Utd looks set to meet the 100m valuation of exciting Bundesliga youngster

Man Utd has once again been linked with former Man City youngster Jadon Sancho, who is currently plying his trade in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

The 90m rated star is once again gaining interest from Old Trafford as the winter window looms ever closer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has money to spend and according to the Mirror, the Red Devils are prepared to meet the 100m valuation set by Borussia Dortmund.

In his 8 games in the Bundesliga so far, Sancho has 6 assists and 3 goals. Creativity is something United is missing this season with the absence of Pogba through injury. Furthermore, with reported growing interest from Real Madrid for the Frenchman, OGS needs to start building alternative options.

Sancho is predominantly a right-winger, something Solskjaer needs within the team. Summer signing Daniel James is doing a great job, and impressing so far. However, United are missing depth and competition – something Sancho would bring to the table.

Open to a move

He’s said to be open to a move back to the Premier League, and the move would certainly go down well with the red side of Manchester.

In a bid to muster a fight for a top-four place, bringing the young English international to Manchester could be seen as a masterstroke. United need not worry about European football this season, it should be all eyes on regaining Premier League form and climbing back up the table.

Would Sancho swap the Champions League for Man United currently?

It’s a big task at hand, however, sometimes the pull of Old Trafford is too much for some players. Man Utd fans will be hoping this is the case for Sancho also.

Bayern Munich

However, Thomas has options, as you can imagine. Inter Milan are also interested.

Man United

If Man United could pull of the deal, Muller would slot into the squad nicely.
