How is Man City’s Jack Harrison getting on at Leeds?

Jack Harrison is currently on loan from Man City to Leeds. He is impressing Leeds fans. It looks like he’s proving to the Etihad what they are missing.

The 22 year old left winger can also operate the right hand side of the pitch. He has also had previous loan spells at Middlesbrough.

Now he has joined Leeds and is trying his best to make an impression. He will be at Elland Road until the end of the season.

Harrison is a former England Under 21 international. After not being favoured at Man City, he chose to join Leeds.

This has worked wonders for him so far. He will be looking to improve with the more game time he gets.

Current form

According to Transfermarkt, Harrison has played 15 games so far this season.

In that time, he has scored 2 goals and made 4 assists. He also hasn’t picked up any yellow or red cards. It looks like the Championship is his place to shine.

Leeds

Om Saturday, Leeds played QPR. They won 2-0. One of those goals was scored by Harrison himself.

In fact, he played the majority of the game. He was only substituted in the 83rd minute which was clearly tactical.

Forget Madrid, Sterling can achieve more with Man City, agreed?

A ridiculous transfer story broke yesterday on Sky Sports. Real Madrid is to offer 70m + Gareth Bale for Man City’s Raheem Sterling.

Madrid has been desperate to offload the Welshman for some time now. With interest waning for the wantaway winger, Los Blancos seem a cash plus player deal may be the option to get him out of the door.

However, even non-Man City fans scoffed at reading the latest supposed offer. An injury-prone, out of form 30-year-old, in exchange for the Premier League’s red hot Englishman can not be a serious thought process, surely?

Sterling, at 24, is still a few years off ‘prime’ age for a footballer. With Man City growing as a club year on year, alongside Pep Guardiola at the helm. The future for Sterling surely would be blue.

Real Madrid brought back Zidane in a bid to stop their slump. The club finds themselves second in La Liga and five points behind in the Champions League group table. Furthermore, they seem to be still reeling from the loss of Ronaldo to Juventus. They see Sterling as the ideal long term replacement, despite signing Eden Hazard in the summer.

Even though Real Madrid are the most decorated European club side. In the near future, many would place their bets on Man City winning the Champions League before Madrid next do.

Inevitably most elite players opt for La Liga’s Real Madrid or Barcelona. However, for now, Sterling would be best placed at the Etihad if he is to be successful.

Man City fans, do you agree. Is Sterling going to be more successful at Man City than Real Madrid?

Man City Women will be looking to bounce back by dropping these 2 players

Nick Cushing has got some serious work to do with Man City Women. Their form has been poor recently and with that in mind, here’s two players who should be dropped.

It was an amazing start to Man City’s season in all competitions. Things looked to be going great.

However, things have changed since then. They lost to Man United in the FA Cup. Then they lost to Arsenal. To top it off, they lost to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League this week.

Things have been quite disappointing. A lot of fans think that Nick Cushing has done all he can with the club. That is why this is a hard pick because maybe it is the management that needs a shake up.

That aside, here’s two players who need to be on the bench instead of in the starting line up against Birmingham…

Ellen White

Don’t get me wrong, White is one of my favourite players. I have been waiting to see her in a Man City shirt for a long time.

However, she has only just returned from injury. The rest of the team have gelled. Maybe she would benefit from being on the bench and being brought on to change things up.

Georgia Stanway

Another player who has only just returned from injury. When she is at her best, she never stops and is a threat on the pitch.

Although, she could benefit from being broight back into the squad slowly instead of being thrown in at the deep end.

Southampton’s defence needs to line up like this to halt Man City

Southampton will face Man City this weekend for the second time this week. They will be looking to make improvements to stop Man City scoring too many.

With the two sides facing each other twice this week, they will both kind of know what to expect from one another.

However, they will also both be looking to improve their performances.

Man City will be looking to win to close the gap between them and Liverpool. Southampton will be looking for any points to try and get them further up the league.

With that in mind, here is how Southampton should line up their defence to try and keep Man City from repeating their last performance…

Left back: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

The Southampton Captain obviously has to be on the pitch.

He will hopefully lead his team to a strong performance. After all, Southampton should have some confidence because they actually scored against Man City earlier in the week.

Centre back: Jack Stephens

In the game earlier this week, Southampton put out 5 defenders with 3 centre backs in the mix.

They should definitely do this again because they’ll need to be strong at the back. Jack Stephen’s also got Southampton’s only goal this week.

Centre back: Kevin Danso

The 21 year old seemed to switch off at times earlier in the week. However, it might have been related to the fact that Southampton’s confidence isn’t high.

Hopefully, now that he knows what to expect this weekend, he will remain focussed.

Centre back: Jan Bednarek

The final centre back position shoulf be Bednarek. Not only can he focus on his own game, he will be able to offer Danso some help.

Having 5 at the back will also allow them to cover any other positions if needed.

Right back: Yan Valery

The final position should be taken by Valery. I can imagine that even if the formation is changed, Valery would still be in the line up.

However, if anything is going wrong, Jake Vokins got a couple of minutes earlier in the week. Maybe bringing him on earlier will change things up.

Man City will be looking for a goal-fest against Southampton by playing these 3 players

Southampton will be travelling to the Etihad Stadium tomorrow for the second time this week. These 3 Man City players will be looking to find the back of the net.

Man City already faced Southampton in the Carabao Cup this week. They managed a 3-1 win.

However, their first half was much better than their second. The clash this weekend is important to Pep Guardiola’s side because they need to close the gap between them and Liverpool.

Southampton are currently 18th in the Premier League. This should realistically be an easy clash for Man City. They have already played them this week which should give them an insight to their weaknesses.

With that in mind, here’s 3 players who will be looking to score this weekend…

Kevin De Bruyne

If he doesn’t score a goal, he will certainly assist one. Or create a goal that someone else tries to claim.

Either way, he’s been unstoppable in all competitions so far this season.

Sergio Aguero

After watching Man City’s past few performances, I would much rather have Aguero over Jesus.

Sergio shouldn’t be on the bench. He should be starting because there are some chances every week which I believe he could have put away.

Raheem Sterling

Sterling has been on top form throughout the season. However, I think he could score more than once this weekend.

There have been some weeks were he has missed chances but if the full team are on point then he will benefit from it.

Man City want their player back, but it will cost them £100m+

According to Sport Witness, Man City want Jadon Sancho back. However, their biggest rivals, Man United also want him.

The teenager moved from Man City to the Bundesliga.

He joined Borussia Dortmund and it has massively paid off for him. The winger has been a stand out performer for the side.

He has managed 12 goals and 17 assists in the league for the German side. This has caught the attention of Premier League giants.

Man United

The Red Devil’s were linked with Sancho over the summer. However, the deal never went ahead.

Reports are now saying that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still interested in the teenager.

Man City

Now it looks like Man City are wanting their man back. It must be frustrating letting a player leave and watching their value increase.

It must be even more annoying knowing that your biggest rivals are making a move. However, if either side wants to bring him to the Premier League, they are going to have to pay over £100 million.

‘Change the Carabao Cup to the Man City Cup.’ Man United and Man City fans react to Carabao Cup draw

The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw was done this morning. The Football Manc Cave is looking at the reactions from Man City and Man United fans.

Man City and Man United have both made it to the quarter final of the Carabao Cup.

This comes after Man United beat Chelsea last night. Man City also managed to win against Southampton.

Now Man United will face Colchester United at Old Trafford. Man City will be travelling to Oxford United.

We are looking at fan reactions after the draw was done this morning…

Twitter reacts:

2 positives Man City will take away from the Carabao Cup win

Man City faced Southampton last night in the Carabao Cup. Here’s two positives that they will be able to take from the game.

Pep Guardiola’s side managed to win 3-1 last night.

Arguably, the second half was worse than the first for the blues. However, they can still take some positives from the game.

For example, Southampton only scored after Man City had already scored 3. However, Guardiola would have appreciated a clean sheet.

Here are two positives that the side will get to reflect on…

Otamendi

The Man City player hasn’t had the best start to the season. He even was on the bench in a couple of games and other options were used.

However, last night he headed home the first Man City goal. This proves that resting him has had an impact on his performance.

Generation

Another positive from last night is the talent in the team coming out of the young players.

Phil Foden, Eric Garcia and Tommy Doyle were all in the starting line up and managed to impress. It looks like this could be the new generation of Man City footballers.

Sané’s replacement: 22 year old La Liga star identified

According to Sky Sports News, Bayern Munich are still interested in Leroy Sané. Man City have now had to look at a replacement.

Man City faced a big blow at the beginning of the season when Leroy Sané was injured.

There were also rumours about Bayern Munich being interested in the Man City player.

Despite him being injured, these rumours have never really gone away.

Now it seems to be a question of not if but when. If Sané wants to go to Bayern Munich he may have to continue his rehab with them if he makes a winter transfer.

However, if he chooses to wait until the summer he could be back to being fully fit.

Sky Sports have now reported that Man City are supposed to be looking at Mikel Oyarzabal from Real Sociedad.

Current situation

Mikel Oyarzabal currently has a contract with Real Sociedad until 2024. It doesn’t look like Sociedad want to lose their man.

However if Man City are willing to pay the£67.5 million release clause, they may think again.

Oyarzabal

The 22-year old has scored 28 goals in the last two Seasons at Real Sociedad.

He also shone over the summer in the Under-21 European Championships for Spain. He has worked his way up through the Sociedad Academy and been consistent in performing ever since.

2 Man United youngsters that should impress tonight against Doncaster Rovers

Man United Under-21’s will face Doncaster Rovers tonight in the EFL trophy. The Football Manc Cave are picking out two youngsters who will be looking to impress.

Man United’s first team face Chelsea tomorrow night. The form at Old Trafford recently hasn’t been great.

The January transfer window can’t come soon enough for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, until that time comes he has been relying on youth squad members to develop into the first team.

Players like Brandon Williams, who is only 19 years old, have made it into the first team recently. It also looks like youngster, James Garner will be making it into that first team soon as well.

With the game against Doncaster tonight there will be a few youngsters looking to impress. They will want to move in the same directions as the other teenagers who have made it into the first team.

Tahith Chong

The Dutch 19 year old is close to breaking into the first team squad at Old Trafford.

However, the right winger hasn’t yet made it that far. If he makes it into the squad to face Doncaster tonight, he will want to show Ole Gunnar Solskjaer what he’s missing.

Angel Gomes

The 19-year old attacking midfielder is another player who will be looking to impress tonight. He will want to try and break into the first team at Man United.

He has risen through the youth ranks with Man United. Bosses at Old Trafford want to develop young home-grown talent.
