Man United want these 3 Valencia players

According to The Express, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is interested in 3 Valenica players. It looks like Man United are looking everywhere for recruits.

Man United haven’t had the best start to this Premier League campaign. They have been linked with a lot of different players ahead of the transfer window.

January could be a busy time for the Red Devil’s. The newest rumours are that Solskjaer is interested in a few Valencia players.

It is unlikely that Man United will pull off all three signings. However, by having options to choose from, atleast one could be on their way to Old Trafford.

Jose Gaya

The left back could cost Man United a lot of money. However, money shouldn’t really be a problem.

Brandon Williams is currently being expected to fill this position. The only problem is, he is young and inexperienced. Gaya would be a good fit.

Carlos Soler

Old Trafford need a right winger. Soler could operate that role. He is also versatile.

He can work in the middle of the pitch as well offering a new option to Solskjaer.

Ferran Torres

The right winger has made a name for himself in the LaLiga and is also wanted at Man United.

However, Solskjaer has admitted that bringing players in, in January will be hard.

Two Younger Alternatives Man Utd Should Look at Instead of Danny Rose

Interest in Danny Rose became a low priority to Manchester United after Luke Shaw’s dramatic improvement in the 2018/19 season, but who can Solskjaer bring in to instil some competition in that left-back role?

Luke Shaw bagged himself a Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award as well as the Players’ Player of the Year award, amongst the respect of his peers and fans, as evidenced by his 29 Premier League appearances in the 2018/19 season, compared to only 11 Premier League appearances in the season before.

In Manchester United’s current squad, Luke Shaw is the only established left-back. As it stands, during times of his unavailability, he is being replaced by the former winger Ashley Young or the young Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot, who favours the right-hand side of the field.

Therefore, as opposed to signing the 28-year-old English left-back Danny Rose, it may make more sense for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to seek a younger prospect to compete for Shaw’s spot.

Let’s have a look at two alternatives which may benefit Solskjaer’s rebuild of Manchester United…

José Gayà

At only one year his senior, Valencia’s José Gayà could share the left-back responsibility with the seemingly over-worked Luke Shaw. Both talents still have a lot to prove at top-flight football, as well as impress their national sides, with Shaw having only 8 caps for England and José Gayà with only 5 for Spain.

This fast-paced and attacking full-back can provide both precise crosses and through balls, making him alike to the old-school Manchester United full-back legacies such as Gary Neville and Patrice Evra. José Gayà is currently valued at around £45million.

Kieran Tierney

Alternatively, at a year younger than Luke Shaw, Kieran Tierney has recently been a hot topic of football’s young prospects after making headlines for his current club Celtic, the Scottish champions. The young left-back is currently gaining attraction from clubs such as Leicester City, Lyon and Arsenal, at an asking price of around £26million.

Tierney could potentially challenge Luke Shaw for the left-back position at Manchester United, beginning as a rotation player due to his lack of experience in the Premier League.
