Man Utd are looking to bring back Burnley 35m rated 19 y/o winger

According to The Sun, Man Utd are keeping tabs on £35 million Burnley winger, Dwight McNeil. This is the same player that they dumped 5 years ago.

The 19-year-old has been a stand out performer for Burnley so far this season. It looks like Man Utd are now regretting getting rid of the midfielder.

McNeil was released from the academy team at aged just 14. This was because he didn’t meet the standards. He was also poor at set-pieces.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent scouts out in recent weeks to keep an eye on England Under 21 international.

Man Utd must meet Burnley valuation

It is understood that Burnley wants around £35 million for their man. Even if Man Utd reach those requirements, they could still be rejected.

It is looking like Burnley want to keep hold of the midfielder.

The 19-year-old is a huge red devils fan despite being dumped from Old Trafford.

Scouts from Old Trafford apparently went to watch him when Burnley played Chelsea a few weeks ago. They got to see him score in a 4-2 loss.

Burnley link to Bolton Wanderers youngster is a sign of the future for Dyche?

Another exciting English youngster is looking to break his way into the Premier League.

Burnley are following suit of other Premier League clubs by displaying an interest in a promising young English talent. A luxury that will fetch a sweet penny after being proven at a Premier League standard. It is Bolton Wanderers’ 20 year-old full-back Harry Brockbank who is garnering attention from other clubs amid Bolton’s relegation into League One.

Sean Dyche’s Burnley squad had a rough 2018/19 season, narrowly escaping relegation by six points. With it mind that Sean Dyche needs to massively improve his Burnley squad. It may seem a strange pursuit to go after Bolton’s Harry Brockbank, as he only started three games towards the end of Bolton’s very troublesome season.

However, many clubs including Sunderland, Brentford and Ipswich are keen on Harry Brockbank, meaning that he must offer something that over clubs are keen on bringing in. In Burnley’s case, Harry Brockbank could gain Premier League experience as an understudy to the incredibly experienced Phil Bardsley, who turns 34 this summer.

Sean Dyche’s interest in the youngster demonstrates an interest in securing a solid future for the side. We could see Brockbank gain interest from big clubs in years to come, potentially fetching a similar price to the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and other English Premier League talents.

Who Is Former Man United Youth Mackenzie Chapman, & Why Should Oldham Athletic Fans Get Excited

Oldham’s new intake of young players a few weeks ago included 17-year-old goalkeeper Mackenzie Chapman.

The news that Athletic had taken on 10 schoolboys for two-year scholarships is welcome. Not just because it demonstrates that the club is serious about building a squad from the youth setup, but because it quelled a myth that owner Abdallah Lemsagam was planning to get rid of the club’s Academy.

On the contrary, Lemsagam intends to Develop the academy and the pipeline of talent.” as he mentioned in his ‘Vision and Plan‘. That is good news for young players like Mackenzie Chapman who has been on the books at both Manchester United and Burnley. He is described as a good shot stopper in his player profile on the club’s website and, that is definitely a plus for a goalkeeper!

Having a ‘keeper who two Premier League sides thought was worth a look at, bodes well for Latics and all eyes will be on who gets the No. 1 jersey next season after the departure of Daniel Iversen. I don’t expect Mackenzie to be thrust into the first-team action straight away, but as he has already played for the youth team on a number of occasions, he may well enter into first-team reckoning before long.

Mackenzie is too young to remember Chris Ogden who was an integral part of the Oldham side in the early 1970s. Ogden rose from the junior ranks to become Latics first choice in goal and managed 128 appearances.

Another find like Chris would be a great addition to an Oldham side who are keen to develop their young talent.
