Smart Move: Allegri to bring in former Man Utd favourite to Old Trafford

According to The Daily Mail, Massimiliano Allegri has plans for if he was to get the Man United job. He wants to bring in Patrice Evra as backroom staff.

Evra played for the Red Devil’s between 2006 and 2014. Hungry fans would love to see him make a return to Old Trafford.

The defender became a popular player for Man United. He was a part of the team that won 5 Premier League titles and a Champions League one.

However, could he be part of the staff and management that changes things for Man United?

Massimiliano Allegri

The 52-year-old had a footballing career as a midfielder. He’s now turned to managing and Old Trafford could be his next mission.

He is currently out of a job but his most recent position was Juventus manager. This would make him immediately available if he was needed.

Man United’s current form isn’t as it used to be. Despite the transfer talk around the club that could come in January, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be replaced earlier.

Patrice Evra

Allegri and Evra have worked together in the past. Although, it is said that the ex Juventus manager ‘promised’ Evra a job with him if he was to move to the Manchester side.

Not only would it be a sensible option that’s approved by fans, but it would also benefit Patrice.

It would give him experience whether it be player-coach, assistant or just part of the fitness team. It’s something for him to add to his profile.

If a managerial role is something Evra is working towards, why not start with a club he made a huge impact on?

However, this is all relying on Solskjaer and whether he will be sacked or given longer.
