Signing La Liga’s 93.1% pass success master should be Man United’s main priority
According to The Sun, Man United are planning on signing Real Madrid Star, Toni Kroos. However, it could mean that Paul Pogba will get to part ways with teammates at Old Trafford.
Toni Kroos has been on Man United’s radar since around 2013. David Moyes showed interest in the 29-year-old, however, the deal never went through.
Now it is looking like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will revisit this possible transfer. It’s rumoured that Man United would be willing to pay £66.9 million for his services.
However, Real Madrid is known to be interested in Paul Pogba. They want to land the Man United man and this could be their chance. The La Liga team could use this to their advantage and encourage a ‘swap’ deal.
Man United should definitely push for this transfer to go ahead. Kroos would turn things around at Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba doesn’t really want to stay at Man United. I think he would be happy with a move.
However, would this be a fair ‘swap’ deal? Pogba would be getting a new team with better football and more competitions. Kroos would be going to a team failing to qualify for Champions League football. He would also be playing with under-performing players.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co would have to do some serious negotiations but imagine if it happened. What a signing that would be.
When you compare the two players, there is a big difference. Here’s how the two compare according to WhoScored.com…
With 2 assists in 5 games so far this season and an average of 2.6 key passes per game, it shows Pogba can create opportunities on his day.
Although Pogba has been limited this season through injury, the Frenchman can still make an impact when he’s on the pitch.
His passing is rated as very strong as his figures show with 3.6 key passes per game. and 93.1% pass succession compared to Pogba’s 80.7%.
The ability to stay concentrated is also of high quality. In the centre midfield position this season so far, he’s made 12 appearances and scored twice.
