Wigan will start their season against recently relegated Cardiff at the DW Stadium, on August 3rd. The Latics will then travel to Lancashire rivals Preston, before returning home to face Leeds.
It’s a tough start for Paul Cook’s men, who will be hoping for the same flying start they got last season. Wigan have a derby to look forward to over the Christmas period when they visit Blackburn at Ewood Park, then will return home to play Frank Lampard’s Derby on Boxing Day.
Their final game of the season will be at home to Fulham, a must-win game to avoid relegation or sneak into the playoffs? I’d certainly take the latter.
Lets see if the Latics fans are happy with their fixtures…
