All eyes (well at least mine) will be on Broadhurst Park this weekend, to see how Mark Bradshaw gets on against FC United.
FC United of Manchester had a shocking start to the season, winning only twice in their first 13 games, but things are going slightly better for them now since the new man in charge – Neil Reynolds has taken over.
On paper, it is a kind fixture to the Nash, but Broadhurst park with its always enormous home support and a team desperate to preserve their record of never having gone down could prove a tough first fixture indeed.
The whole team will need to be behind their two managers clearly. However, here are two players that should hopefully give Curzon the edge in this contest and boost the Nash up the National League North.
Rachid Balde is an 18-year-old who is on loan from Stoke and previously was initially based at Benfica. While a bit of a diamond in the rough he has had some really top-level coaching, and I imagine his career will be at a far higher level than this when he is older. I think his raw talent could be a huge asset in a game of this level and could outpace and outskill a lot of the FC United team.
Naill Cummins has been at the club since 2012 and is one of the oldest players on the side. He has a wealth of experience at that level, including playing against FC United, and will be familiar with the side he is playing against and the ground itself, which is one of the best attended in the league, and can be an intimidating place to go.
Hopefully, the mix of experience and raw talent can see a strong start for Bradshaw’s men!
