Man Utd have to start this XI to gain Champions League qualification today

Manchester United can guarantee Champions League football today by avoiding defeat when they face Leicester City in the final game of the Premier League season.

After looking increasingly leggy in the last few games, fatigue cannot be an excuse as they make the final push for a top-four spot with success in their own hands.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must play the strongest team available to him. Luke Shaw faces a late fitness test to see if his ankle has recovered from the sprain that he suffered against Southampton. Long term absentees Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones remain missing.

Leicester City will be without a number of key players, James Maddison, Ben Chilwell, Ricardo Pereira, Daniel Amartey and Christian Fuchs remain sidelined.

Whilst defender Caglar Soyuncu completes his three-match ban following the red card that he received against Bournemouth. Midfielder Marc Albrighton will be a late assessment in the hope that he has recovered following the minor injury that led to him missing the Tottenham Hotspur game.

Man Utd only need to avoid defeat and while the Europa League is only round the corner, Solskjaer has to continue with his best side. A serious lack of depth within the squad has been highlighted in recent weeks – a decent transfer window with three to four players in should help that next season.

Here’s the predicted starting eleven that will see Man Utd qualify for the Champions League for only the third time via a top four finish since 2013…
