Manchester United have enjoyed back to back wins either side of the international break, after a woeful couple of games against Spurs and Brighton.
Much has been made of Jose Mourinho’s management since his arrival at Old Trafford. However, a League Cup and Europa League Cup win in his first season alongside a second-placed finish and an FA Cup final despite losing last season shows, that the Portuguese has the Red Devils going in the right direction.
Indeed this season the spotlight has firmly been shone on Old Trafford, more than ever!
Indeed, this has played right into Mourinho’s hands to create a US v THEM vibe within the fanbase of United, this is more than highlighted in the away fans persistent chanting of the boss, whilst Mourinho has lapped it up on the pitch at the end.
Vocally he has also encouraged it in many interviews, and many believe his post-match interviews are brilliantly orchestrated to keep this mentality going and growing.
Looking back at Jose’s first stint at Chelsea, we saw Mourinho at his best when he created a gang-like mindset with seemingly the world of football was against him and his Chelsea team.
United have shown some grit and determination in recent games, with the manager saying many times that’s what he expects in his team.
So, don’t put it past the United man to 360 this squad and, with certain reinforcements in January, challenge for the Premier League – it may seem unlikely at the timing of this post but, with an easier start to the season than most, the odds are in United’s favour.
