Leeds United player, Jack Clarke is close to moving to a premier league side.
It is said that Tottenham is interested in the 18-year-old. It looks as though a medical will go ahead for the youngster in order for him to transfer. Another piece of information that is rumoured is that a few of around £10 million has been agreed but it could rise with add ons if the deal goes ahead.
This would make the youngster, Tottenham’s first signing since January 2018. Alongside him helping Leeds get to a playoff position last season, I think he will be a great signing for Tottenham.
Clarke has had 22 appearances for Leeds since 2018 and scored 2 goals. He is a versatile player who can play in both wing positions. He managed to get Leeds Young Player Of The Year in 2018/19. However, there was an incident in February when Jack collapsed on the bench against Middlesbrough. He was out for 5 weeks after this although it was later confirmed that the collapse was a result of a virus.
Mauricio Pochettino has nurtured some of England’s most talented players during his time and I am hoping that if this deal goes ahead that Clarke can become another great product of Pochettino’s management. Tottenham had a good last season and managed to finish 4th. However, I’m hoping they’ll be able to do even better next season after the deflating Champions League final loss, and not let it affect them too much. New players may bring that inspiration.
