Hands Off: Everton looking to swoop in on 2 impressive Bolton Wanderers young stars
Football Insider has reported that Everton is interested in two Bolton Wanderers players. They are currently monitoring the development of Dennis Politic and Ronan Darcy.
Both Bolton youngsters have impressed in the opening stages of the season. Especially Politic.
It’s no surprise that they have gained attention from other clubs. However, if Everton wants these men, they will have to convince them that they will get playing time.
Dennis Politic is making the starting line up at the University of Bolton Stadium every week. Darcy has also been on the bench a lot and made appearances early on.
They are both a part of the Bolton squad who are trying to rebuild. Fans appreciate them. Politic also turned down advances at the beginning of the season from other clubs because of his chances with the Wanderers.
However, it’s looking likely that Bolton will be relegated to League Two next season. Both of these players are better than that level of football.
Here’s what they would offer Everton…
Darcy spent a loan period last year at Skelmersdale. He was asked to step up to first-team duties at Bolton in the early stages of this season.
The youngster may be open to new offers. Even if it is another loan spell. He scored his first senior goal early on and probably would score more if he got the chance.
While he would be a great option for a youth team with a Premier League side, he’s used to first-team football. I presume he would make a decision based off of Bolton’s future.
The 19-year-old Romanian has had 11 appearances so far for Bolton this season. He scored against Rochdale and Bradford in cup games.
When you watch him play, you wouldn’t believe he was still a teenager. He looks so experienced and confident on the ball.
Salford picked out his talent last year as he spent some time there. When he came back, he turned down offers to stay with the Trotters.
At the end of the season or in January, he could change his mind. Teams like Wolves, Aston Villa and Rangers have also shown interest. Everton will have to work fast if they want this talented man.
