When you’re operating with a squad of only 26 players three of whom are goalkeepers, introducing fringe players to keep the competition for places healthy is a bit of an ask.
Team selection is probably made even more difficult if reports that the players haven’t been paid are true.

Defender Tom Hamer appears to be out of favour and there seems no justification in his absence. He last played in the win against Crawley and hasn’t even made the bench in the last four games.
His ability to deliver long throw-ins would make him an obvious starter in some League Two sides!
Elsewhere there are encouraging noises being made about midfielder Ryan Scholes-Beard, nephew of Paul Scholes. Ryan scored two goals in the 5-2 victory over Hartlepool in the Youth Alliance Cup recently and must be looking for inclusion in the squad soon.
Anybody looking for omens might want to note that he even has red hair like his uncle. Give him a game!
