FC United Women welcome former Bury striker with open arms

The Women’s football season will soon be starting and clubs are finalising their squads. FC United announced on Sunday night that they have a new number 10.

Jordan Bailey is a skilful striker who has been looking to move away from Bury this summer. On the 17th of July, Bailey put out a tweet to ask if anyone knew of any open age Women’s teams who were looking for players. Fans were quick to jump on and help her although most stated how they didn’t want her to leave the Shakers women’s team.

It hasn’t taken her long to find another club as FC United announced the news over the weekend. Bailey will be taking the number 10 shirt ahead of the new season. Upon joining FC United, she has stated that she is ‘so happy to be signing for this club.”

FC United have also made a statement in which they have said, “Jordan is a quick skilful attacker who will be sure to cause problems in the league this year.” Even though the club are happy with their new signing and she is excited to get started with them. Bailey has built up a level of respect at Bury and has received lots of messages from not only fans and teammates but also coaching staff which is nice to see.

One coach tweeted, “good luck Jordon. Big loss and my girls will miss your skills down the wing. You’re a brilliant asset to any club.”

The Football Manc Cave wishes Jordan a successful season with her new club and also good luck to Bury who is also recruiting at most levels within the women’s and girls teams.
