Arsenal in for PSG’s Christopher Nkunku, Is he a good option?

It has been reported that Arsenal are to try and sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Christopher Nkunku.

It’s been said that Arsenal hasn’t got a lot of money to spend on players this summer although, Nkunku’s expected price and actual price are massively different. Previous claims state that he was worth £30 million. Now it is believed that Arsenal will only have to bid £13.5 million for the midfielder and that could be enough to secure his services at the Emirates. Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig has also shown some interest in signing the Frenchman, so Arsenal will have to bear that in mind.

The now 21-year-old, started his youth in 2003 with AS Marolles and was there six years until 2009. He then spent a year at RCP Fontainebleau before joining PSG in 2010. He’s been there ever since.

In the 2015-2016 season, Nkunku played for PSG’s B team and made 27 appearances. He managed five goals that season also. He’s since had 55 appearances for PSG and eight goals, although not a great return but Nkunku is still young.

The player’s current contract doesn’t expire until 2020. However, he’s made it quite clear that he wants regular football. It’s something that Arsenal could offer him as they look to change their dynamics under Unai Emery, with the former PSG manager knowing a little more than the rest about Nkunku. The midfielder could also be a great option for cash struck Arsenal.
