3 players that have to feature for Man United tonight

These three players have to start in Man Utd's game against Kristiansund for different reasons.

Can these three talents continue Man Utd’s unbeaten run in pre-season?

Man Utd has shown a new tenacity and intense style of play, which has seen the side win each of their games in pre-season so far. The run of games hasn’t been too easy, facing teams such as Leeds United, Inter Milan and Spurs.

Solskjaer is seemingly placing a lot of trust in the youth. Possibly due to the board not backing him in the transfer window, or because his mature players let the side down. Regardless, the new Man Utd way is much more pleasing on the eye.

Today, Manchester United face Solskjaer’s boyhood club Kristiansund in Norway. Unlikely to test the Red Devils, we may see a squad that is a mix of youth and players who are yet to prove themselves on the tour.

Here are three exciting players who may run riot against Kristiansund…

Angel Gomes

Gomes scored a stunning goal against Spurs after his incredible link-up play and close control with Juan Mata to wiggle themselves into the box. Gomes could easily be Man Utd’s play-maker. Despite the obvious difference in quality and experience, Gomes’ style of play is similar to the one and only Lionel Messi.

Marcus Rashford

The £200k a week 21-year-old. Rashford needs to bag more than 15 goals next season to come close to justifying his lucrative contract. In a game against Kristiansund, the English international could hit the net a few times just to get the ball rolling. Mason Greenwood has matched Marcus Rashford’s pre-season total of 2 goals, similar for Anthony Martial. The competition for the number 9 spot in gaining speed, and could get the best out of Solskjaer’s forwards.

Daniel James

Solskjaer has favoured Dan James so far, as he has featured heavily in a Man Utd shirt in pre-season. His blistering pace is brutal for defenders to come up against, but there is room for improvement in the final third. In a game where Man Utd will be attacking heavily, Dan James can gain more experience in linking up with teammates in and around the box.
