Salford City need these 2 against Cambridge Utd to gain back-to-back wins

Graham Alexander’s Salford team needed some points in recent games. Last weekend saw them take all three from Walsall. The Football Manc Cave are looking at two players who could help The Ammies achieve back to back wins.

Salford started the season better than expected. However, things took a turn recently when they went through a stage of conceding quite a few goals in games.

Last week saw them pull out a good performance with a 3-0 win over Walsall. Goals from Luke Armstrong, Jake Jervis and Ibou Touray helped contributed towards the successful performance.

This weekend will see Salford take on Cambridge United at home. Here are two players that I have picked out who could step things up to help the Ammies take another three points…

Luke Armstrong

The 23-year-old was determined last week. He got his first goal for Salford after signing this summer. Now that he’s got a taste for celebrating finding the back of the net, maybe it will motivate him to do it more often.

This is the reason why he has made this list. Hopefully, Graham Alexander will start him this weekend for his efforts recently. That way, Armstrong might stand a better shot at making it 2 goals in 2.

Craig Conway

The newest addition to the Ammies. He made his debut against Walsall and the 34-year-old winger made an impression on fans.

With him being a new signing, he may be a refreshing option when it comes to Alexander picking his squad. His experience around the leagues may also help other players improve.
