What 3 things can Man Utd take from their win over Leeds Utd into Inter Milan today?

Solskjaer’s high pressing football proved troublesome for Leeds United, but how will it fare today against Inter Milan?

Unbeaten, but arguably untested, Man Utd breezed through their first two games in pre-season, racking up 6 goals and 2 clean sheets. Man Utd will face European giants Inter Milan today in Singapore.

In both pre-season games, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted for two different 11s per half. In his test against Inter, it is likely that Man Utd will have a fairly strong team selection throughout the game.

Manchester United fans have been impressed with the exciting football seen so far. They will hope that the same energy is shown against tougher opposition. The Reds can take a few things from their previous victories…

Exciting football

We have seen the fantastic high pressing and great link-up play so far. Solskjaer himself said he wants players who lift fans of their seats. So far, Marcus Rashford and Daniel James have been the stand out players and may well feature throughout the entire game.

Defensive instability

Watching Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Ashley Young all in the backline against Leeds United was nothing short of a nightmare for Man United fans. They appeared uncomfortable on the ball and was a stark contrast to the way Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof played from the back and created chances.

The youth-run the game

Manchester United have a very young squad. However, it is the youngsters who are running the games. The likes of Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and Mason Greenwood appear to be the most prolific players in the squad.

The negative to this is the inexperience. But it is without question that these boys have enough talent to cause Inter Milan major problems.
