The 2 Man Utd wonderkids who could have a major impact on the club’s 19/20 season

Are Manchester United over signing big names as an attempt to claw back to the top of English football?

It’s fair to say that since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United have signed a gallery of elite footballers. Most of which did not provide what their price tag entailed. Ed Woodward has spent over £700million since 2013, resulting only in minimal success.

However, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the wheel, it seems a new approach is being taken in order to rebuild the once glorious Manchester United.

Here are 2 Man Utd wonder kids who could feature in the 2019/20 season, and prove vital to their aspirations of a top-four finish…

Mason Greenwood

Towards the end of the 2018/19 season, a lot of hype and excitement was generated around the name Mason Greenwood. He holds the accomplishment of gaining 34 goals and 9 assists in 34 games for Manchester United’s Under 18 squad.

These phenomenal statistics allowed Greenwood to be featured in the famous 3-1 victory at PSG, as well as being the only player in red to be allowed to hold his head high after the team’s poor performance against Cardiff in the last game of the season at Old Trafford.

It is clear that Mason Greenwood is in the mind of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and fans would be outraged if he is left out of the plans during the 2019/20 season.

Daniel James

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first signing for Manchester United came in the form of the 19-year-old Welsh winger Daniel James. Famed for his unbelievable pace, this is reminiscent of a young Ryan Giggs who was an instrumental feature in Manchester United’s old-school, fast-paced counter-attacking format.

Daniel James may not be expected to start in every game of the season. However, having this young, hungry and exceptionally talented speed demon on the bench, could provide Manchester United with the last minute twists and turns that they are famous for.
