Rangers Are in For a Treat With Bury Midfielder Jordan Rossiter Returning After Successful Loan Spell

Jordan Rossiter has always been a player with great ability. A graduate of the Liverpool academy before joining Rangers a few years back, it was clear Bury had landed a promising star when they took the midfielder on in January.

Boss Ryan Lowe couldn’t contain his excitement when the 21-year old put pen to paper on a short term contract. From his early performances for the Shakers, it became clear why Lowe was so elated to bring Rossiter into the club.

Playing in the base of the midfield in behind Danny Mayor and Jay O’Shea, the work rate shown by Rossiter hasn’t gone unnoticed. His work rate has been at a level that many midfielders in the modern game just don’t have. Bury fans will certainly be sad to see the Englishmen leave.

Watching on in Scotland, Steven Gerrard will be more than impressed with what he will hear from Lowe when the two managerial allies review Rossiter’s progress. Sent down to Bury for more game time, Rossiter has embraced the challenge. His level is probably better than what he was playing in, however. The workaholic wouldn’t be out of his depth at Sunderland or Portsmouth for example.

An early career dominated by injury, the Rangers boss made it clear the Scouser would need to leave Glasgow if he stood any chance of playing in the Rangers first team one day in the future.

In his final game against Port Vale, Bury’s number 11 scored his first goal and Bury’s 104th of the season.

There was nothing bar positives for Rossiter and Bury in their most recent campaign. He was voted man of the match against Port Vale, this is nothing new. A tidy one-two with Mayor went back to Rossiter whose shot from outside the box dipped under the bar.

A great goal from a player who has a wonderful ability. Rangers take back a player on great form this summer. We now watch to see if he plays for them next season.

  • Rossiter was the spark that lit the fire to Burys promotion , despite only joining in jan defiantly player of the season for me .
