Bolton Wanderers are Losing at Football’s Cruel Game of Snakes & Ladders
Bolton Wanderers are a team very much on the edge after Chairman Ken Anderson last night broke the news over the club facing administration, following an offer to repay the loan was rejected.
Bolton have made a solid start to life in the championship this year, following an awful season last time out. There was a sense of momentum building early under Phil Parkinson with one loss out of the first six games has hosted them just outside the early playoff places.
The possible administration looming gives the Whites a huge problem and could put them on a downward spiral, in footballs cruel game of snakes and ladders.
If Bolton does go into administration it means a minimum immediate 12 point deduction of the 11 hard earned points, Parkinson’s men have conjured so far. Alongside a two-year transfer embargo – which could prove disastrous for the future on Bolton.
This is a huge blow for the loyal fans that have certainly been through hell since relegation from the Premier League back in 2012 and know this feeling all too much.
It’s fight or flight time for the Wanderers, and the fans will be hoping to see if the club have learnt from recent struggles. If the players can show more fight on the pitch than behind the scenes, at least this may show a united front.
Bolton fans, what’s your thoughts?
