Can the Shakers use Oldham as motivation for life in League Two

The two relegated teams are having contrasting times in the league, with Oldham flying and Bury sinking both will be looking for a win this week for different reasons.

Oldham are coming off the back of four games unbeaten since their opening day loss to MK Dons and sit just outside the play-off zone – which means little so early on in the season but the better the start, the better the season will map out for the Latics.

Facing a managerless Crawley Town after Harry Kewell left the club, Oldham will be looking to further add to Crawley’s misery this week and extend their run to five unbeaten.

Bury on the other hand are without a win in four, and after an opening day win against Yeovil Town things haven’t gone well for the Shakers.

Morecambe sit a couple of places below Bury in the league, indeed, both will be looking for the win to start moving upwards in the division.

Bury travel to local rivals Rochdale for a derby in the EFL Trophy group stages, and will be looking to be bouncing into that match on the back of an important win.
