2 in-form players for Wigan Athletic that need to play against Nottingham Forest this weekend

Wigan Athletic’s away form hasn’t been at its best recently. Even though fans are rooting for a win away from from the DW Stadium, another home game awaits them this weekend.

Wigan host Nottingham Forest this weekend as they hunt for some more points. Fans have got quite frustrated with the manager, Paul Cook but are hoping he can start to turn things around.

The Latics are currently 19th in the Championship. They will have to work hard against a second-placed Forest.

However, in order to get results, goals are needed. This is something Wigan have also struggled within some games. I’ve picked out two players who should get a game this weekend to try and help Wigan win.

Jamal Lowe

Fans are extremely happy with Lowe’s efforts. He is an exciting player who looks promising.

Although, he hasn’t scored for the Latics yet. A goal will come in time but first of all his position needs looking at.

Fans are begging Cook to assess where on the pitch is best suited for Lowe. That he can start performing to the best of his ability.

Anthony Pilkington

Pilkington replaced Jamal Lowe in the second half against Birmingham.

He then went on to score and win the game for the Latics. This is why he should get more chances.

However, he would be more effective if he had Jamal Lowe working with him. So instead of swapping them both, why not have Lowe in a position to be able to assist? It’s something to trial for a struggling Wigan side.
